Good Evening non-existant followers (other than the 1 dear soul who is there sometimes!)

Today was a frustrating experiment in how much can you run around and do without getting much done. At least it seemed that way. I managed to show up at my local health center for the minimally invasive test I must now have once every two years in which I have to have fleshy parts of my body squeezed flat to eliminate the suspicion of cancer. I should not mock this ceremony, as I lost one of my best friends to this horror of cancers not even two years ago, and have watched several others in this community also struggle and lose their struggles with the same dreaded scourge. Still, the idea of hoisting the ta-tas onto the little table and watching the technician lower the plexi-glass shelf onto that unsuspecting lump until they can't possibly smash it any flatter without splitting it, just makes me cringe every time. Honestly, the pain is tolerable, in regards to things like childbirth and chest pain related to sleep apnea, but it just somehow doesn't seem very dignified to be there helpless with your t*t in a ringer!.

Ok done with the graphics hope I didn't lose any future followers with that one!! LOL!! This will disappear in the blur of past blogs quicker than a blink, so don't worry about it, and I promise to not linger over such subjects.

After meeting my ex-boss, but still good friend at Nina's Tanqueria for a wonderful meal of Carne Adobada, Spanish Rice, Refried Beans with all the trimmings, (no I didn't get a picture, but I eat there quite regularly, so I will post pictures soon) ordering new eye glasses, (ouch, my insurance only covers that much?) and stopping to get fresh chocolate to make chocolate covered pretzels, fortune cookies and possibly peanuts, I ran off to the hairdressers and promply got my hair both lightened considerably, (hides the grey without an all over dye-job) and chopped all the way up to my collar. Mind you, I haven't had a haircut other than my bangs since May, so much ended up on the cutting room floor. Both my daughter (who met up with me for a cut of her own) and my hairdresser kept asking me, "Are you sure?", and I responded with a resounding yes!! Most people here do not cut their hair short in winter, but I'm not normal, and am tired of the incessant shampooing/drying/curling and then throwing it all back in a head band to keep it out of my face. Headbands and eyeglass frames don't play nice together behind one's ears either, and I have dealt with the pinch/pain long enough. So, it will be a new year, and I have a new look already! Actually in looking at the day, I did get a lot done, I just have too much to do over all!!! So it's time to quit messing around on this blog and get things done!! LOL!!

Favorite song for the day: Son of a Son of a Sailor, Jimmy Buffett (Heard it twice today and not on my iPod.)
